Happy December!  I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving weekend.  So many fought the Black Friday sales over the weekend but I myself shopped (probably a bit too much) online via my cozy bed.  If you live in Houston I give you extra props for fighting the crowd AND the rain.  That said, I cannot believe December is already here.  Today I’m sharing how I gave this simple flannel button down a more polished look.  Plaid is extremely versatile– you can dress it up or make it very causal.  I paired this H&M Flannel (several patterns available) with my to-go BCBG Fit & Flare skirt, giving it more of an feminine feel.   This H&M flannel button down is less than $30, and you can now get an additional 20% off by entering code 2020 at checkout.  I completed this look with this B.P. statement necklace (under $30).   Pretty, guilt-free pieces?  Yes, please.

Happy Wednesday, darlins’!  Today we experienced a big turning point in Houston… It’s beginning to feel like sweater weather!  I say that lightly because it’s currently in the mid-60s.  Regardless, that gives me the perfect excuse to break out the cozy knits!  I love layering underneath sweaters.  I actually consider this to be a skill here in Texas, since it’s always burning up.  I’m currently wearing this Trouve over-sized boyfriend tunic (any over-sized button-down should work) underneath this Topshop Cable Knit Sweater.  Although, I do love how light this Trouve Poplin button-down is, and it’s currently marked down 40% off.  Who doesn’t need a great crisp white button-down?!  The look is completed by my go-to Stuart Weitzman OTK Highland Boots.  These babies are getting a lot of play this month.  Happy Shopping!  x

Hi, friends!  Happy Wednesday and Happy Veteran’s Day!  I cannot believe it’s almost mid-November.  Where has this year gone?  One thing is for sure– it’s slowly becoming sweater weather in Houston!  Which gives me the perfect excuse to share my current favorite piece for Fall- sweeter vests (AKA as ‘dusters’)!  Ponchos, capes and sweater vests are hot items this season, so if you aren’t rocking one of these pieces you need to grab one!  How versatile is this Vince Drape Sweater Vest?  The second I saw it I knew it’d be one of my uniform pieces.  And because I love a good bargain, it’s currently 60% off.  Too true to be true, right?!  If you know me, you know that I love a good designer bargain.  You need to grab one of these babies before they’re sold out.  Look at it as a little treat for yourself.  You’re welcome.  😉

If you’ve been reading Feather Thread lately, you’ll notice that I’ve been crushing on sweater dresses this Fall.  Well, today I’m sharing another one of my recent finds from Nordstrom— and it’s currently marked down so you can write it off as guilt-free.  😉  I’m also pretty obsessed with Stuart Weitzman’s OTK boots and love pairing them with minis and sweater dresses.  I really can’t get enough.  I found that the grey is a perfect neutral, so if you’re looking to splurge I really stress considering this color.

Happy Wednesday, friends!  Today I’m talking the simple little black tunic dress.  This is one piece I feel you can never own too many of.  Black is timeless, effortless, classic and always in style.  When in doubt, I always opt for black.  And this Trouvé tunic dress is something I’ve been spending a lot of time in as of late.  What’s better is that I got this little piece for less than $50.  Win-win for all.  I added a little sparkle with a statement necklace to play this look up and give it a holiday flare.  Tunic dresses can easily be dressed up or down– think of it as your base piece.  Pair this look with a plaid scarf, faux fur vest, draped poncho– the options are endless.
