I mentioned earlier this week how I can’t believe mid-August is here… how did that happen?! It’s crazy how quickly this year has gone by, not to mention that Olivia’s first birthday is coming up next month (insert ugly cry face here). She’s already walking at 11 months old!! Talk about having my hands full!!

Today I’m sharing this beachy resort look (if you follow along, you’ll know that this is one of my favorite styles to wear). You can throw this over a bathing suit, or wear it throughout the day. You can’t go wrong either way!

I hope you guys are having an awesome week!

Absolutely fell in love with this dress when I found it browsing the internet. I can’t tell you how much use I’ve already gotten out of it! I wore to my niece’s graduation and received so many compliments on it that night (college kids are so sweet!!). I’ve since worn it to a dear friend’s baby shower, brunch with the girls and to an Estee Lauder blogger event held at Tiny’s last month. I kid you not when I say this dress has already paid itself off! The best thing is that I bought it in June so it’ll get lots of play this summer.

Little White Dress

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone had a great week! Little O has been teething all week, so this mama has upped her coffee intake… Seriously, how many cups is too many at this rate??

I wore this off the shoulder dress to Tootsie’s Easter egg hunt a few weeks back and got so many compliments on it! The best thing about it? It’s under $50! Talk about fooling everyone. 😉 The bow detail is just icing on the cake.

This white off the shoulder dress is perfect for any day time event, especially this Spring and coming into the Summer. The over-sized bows make it sweet and playful. I can promise you that this little number will be on repeat in my closet!

Happy Wednesday guys!

I can’t believe mid-April is already here. Furthermore, I cannot believe that Easter is approaching… AKA will be here Sunday! I’ve done most of the prepping for Olivia’s first Easter basket thanks to online shopping and frequent stops to Target this past week. I ordered her first Easter basket from Pottery Barn and got it personalized! I’m pretty giddy about putting everything together the night before. I blame it on my childhood and the fact that I’m pretty Southern and love family traditions– I cannot wait to make some of our very own this Sunday.

Now, onto my look! Nothing screams Spring like a floral maxi, right? Today I’m talking about Spring florals, which I can’t get enough of. This Yumi Kim Woodstock dress is perfect for Spring + Easter festivities. I seriously cannot get enough of this designer. She just gets it. I paired my dress with booties to add a little edge to it’s feminine flare. I think everyone needs a fun, bold floral piece in their wardrobe and this one is a must-have.

Hello, friends!

Let’s be honest… it’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog. While it’s super lame on my end, I have no excuse other than ‘mom life’. That said, if I’m not constantly updating on here it means I’ve been extremely busy in my real life! However, I do need to get better about posting updates. From here on out, I’ll be updating at least once a week and letting you guys in on what’s been going on over here whether it’s interesting or not… This will include all things fashion-wise, mommy-wise, real-life-wise… you name it! Today I’m sharing this evening look that I wore to last week’s Galentine’s event held at Tootsies with a handful of blogger babes. The moment I saw this dress at Lily Rain it was love at first sight. cold shoulder

Happy Friday, friends!

We got back from San Diego on Wednesday and I must say– baby girl did great on her first trip! The plane ride up there was a breeze!! We had a mild hiccup on the way back, only because the changing table slammed shut after using, making the loudest noise that any changing table in the world could make (of course!). This frightened little bit, which led to screaming and me trying to soothe her in a tiny airplane bathroom. It was a rough 5 minutes that felt like hours!! I’m not quite scarred, but let’s just say my heart goes out to anyone traveling with a tiny babe.

On another note, I’m sharing one of my favorite travel dresses today! This universal off-the-shoulder style can really dress up a look, while making it feminine and flirty. You can wear this black mini pretty much to anything! I played it up by layering a long VSA necklace, and my go-to booties. I’ve gotten so much use out of these babies!! I wore this look on our first night out in San Diego. Although it rained half the time, I’m so glad we went!! This mama needed to get out of Houston for a bit!

Happy November guys! I’ve been a little MIA, but for good reason! My baby girl turned 2 months today, and she still doesn’t have a sleeping schedule down. Little peanut likes to party at night! I’ve never been more grateful for concealer and yoga pants…

Today I’m sharing my FAVORITE fur vest (linking an animal-friendly option, too). When Fall/Winter is here, this fur vest is one of my favorite pieces to layer with. The is one of my top pieces that I get at least two compliments each time I wear it– and I wear it a lot! Another trend that I’ve been obsessing over lately are chokers! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

If you’re out celebrating in the sun I’m a little jealous– it’s currently storming + flooding in the Houston area. 🙁 So while I’d much rather be sitting by a pool tanning my belly, I’m stuck indoors working on blog stuff. At least I’m being more productive, right?!
